Egyptian Collar
Blade wants to show you how to make jewellery fit for an Egyptian King or Queen.
Just follow the steps - it's so easy!
You will need:
Pasta (macaroni or penne is best)
Paints (blue, turquoise, orange, gold)
Paint brush
Stiff cardboard
2 blunt needles
String thread
Scissors
A punch
Paint your pasta pieces and leave them to dry.
Trace a circle shape onto your cardboard and divide in half. Now cut out two semi-circles and punch
four holes in each semi-circle.
Paint the semi-circles and leave them to dry.
Take two pieces of thread and tie them together.
Thread the two needles through the other ends.
Take a pasta bead and thread one of the needles through it in one direction, then thread the other
needle in the opposite direction. Pull the threads tight.
Continue threading the pasta beads in this way until you have a long beaded thread and then fasten
the ends securely.
Make three threads in this way.
Tie the three beaded strings carefully to either side of your cardboard semi-circles using
the punched holes.
Tie extra pieces of thread to the card to fasten the collar around your neck. Fabulous!
