Miss Behave
Skeleton Puppet

Blade wants to show you how to make a skeleton puppet that dances around.

You will need:
  • A picture of a skeleton (for guidance)
  • Cardboard
  • Scissors
  • A punch
  • Split pins
  • Ice-cream stick
  • String
  • Paint, kokis or crayons

  1. Cut your cardboard to make the puppet - you will need a large rectangle for the body, circle for the head and four long strips for the arms and legs.
  2. Place the pieces together to make a body shape and then paint or draw your skeleton on them. Use a picture from a book to help you.
  3. Punch holes where you want to join the pieces to the rectangle body and fasten them each with a split pin.
  4. Punch a hole in the top of the skull and in each hand.
  5. Thread some string through each hole and then tie the string to the ice-cream stick.
  6. Let the dancing begin!
