Make two identical eggs behave in completely different ways. One will sink and one will float! You will need:

• Some eggs
• A bowl
• Sea salt
• Water
• Two glasses
• A teaspoon

Bart says: before you start your trick you must pour ordinary tap water into one of the glasses. In the other glass pour in some warm water and dissolve a teaspoon of salt into it. Make sure you remember which glass is which.

1. Ask someone from the audience to choose any two eggs from a bowl.
2. Tell your audience that one of the eggs will sink and one will float.
3. Touch each egg with your wand and say which will sink and which will float.
4. Carefully put each egg into the correct glass and take your applause.

The water which contains the sea salt will allow the egg to float, the egg in the ordinary water will sink.
