The Vanishing Glass

-
A table covered with a cloth
A cardboard box
A cushion
A glass
A coin
A large piece of paper
Blade says: before you do your tick you must make some preparations. Set up your magician's table and cover it with a cloth. Behind the table put your cardboard box (make sure it will not be seen by the audience). Now put the cushion into the box.
-
Tell your audience that you will make a coin disappear using a glass, but it has to be secret so you must
cover the glass with paper.
Cover the glass carefully with the sheet of paper so that the paper takes the shape of the glass.
Place the paper covered glass over the coin and wave your wand over them saying your magic words.
Pretend to be surprised when you lift the glass and see that the coin is still there.
Pretend to try again, but this time as you and your audience are looking to see if the coin is still
there, secretly edge the glass back and let it slip out of the paper into the box
(on the cushion so there won't be a noise).
Holding the paper which is still in the shape of the glass tell your audience that you had enough of
this glass which isn't helping your trick so you are going to make it disappear.
Say your magic words, wave your wand and crush the empty paper. Your audience will think that the glass
has vanished and they will be shocked since they expected the coin to disappear. Very sneaky!
