Miss Behave
Rice Magic

Want to make rice appear out of nowhere? Bart is in the mood to teach you this impressive trick. You will need:
  • Two identical empty margarine tubs with lids
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Clear sticky tape
  • Uncooked rice
  • A jug
  • A deep sided tray
  • Cardboard paints, kokis and glitter

  1. Carefully cut round the lip of one of the margarine tub lids, leaving an edge that can be glued easily.
  2. Glue this lid into one of the tubs about half way down.
  3. Decorate both tubs, make sure that they look exactly the same. Now you are ready to start your trick.
  4. Put your tub (the one without the lid stuck in it) on a deep sided tray.
  5. Tell your audience to watch carefully as you pour a jug of rice into the rub.
  6. Level off the with your wand so that it is full to the brim and not overflowing.
  7. Take the second tub and place it upside down on top of the tub which is filled with rice.
  8. Turn the tubs sideways holding them firmly together and show them to all four corners of the room.
  9. When you turn to face your audience turn the tubs upright onto the tray, but this time with the altered tub at the bottom.
  10. Wave your wand over the tubs and as you dramatically remove the tub the rice will spill over and appear to have doubled in quantity.
Listen to your audience gasp in wonder!
